Founded in 2015 in the South Core of Thunder Bay, Heartbeat Hot Sauce Co. began as a homegrown hobby that quickly evolved into an internationally recognized small-batch producer. At our dedicated facility, every recipe is developed, fermented, cooked, bottled, and packaged in-house with one unwavering focus: maximum flavour and perfect balance. We ferment our peppers using traditional methods, then blend them with a few thoughtfully selected, high-quality ingredients. No water. No thickeners. No chemical preservatives. Just vibrant, honest flavour.
A Taste of the North
Camp Sauce captures the feeling of summers spent exploring the wilderness of Quetico, Neys, and Algonquin Park. It’s nostalgic without being rustic—refined yet adventurous.
The heart of the sauce is the vibrant heat of Scotch Bonnet peppers, fermented for depth and character. Their bright, fruity intensity is complemented by the natural richness of dates, adding a subtle, caramelized sweetness that feels right at home beside a crackling fire.
Malt vinegar brings a rounded tang reminiscent of classic camp condiments, while smoked paprika lends a gentle, lingering smokiness—like embers glowing at dusk. A touch of pure maple syrup ties it all together with unmistakable Canadian warmth, balanced perfectly with sea salt for a clean, satisfying finish.
The result is a medium heat (5/10) that builds comfortably, warming rather than overwhelming—bold enough for outdoor adventure, balanced enough for everyday dining.
