Crafted in Thunder Bay
Founded in 2015, Heartbeat Hot Sauce Co. began as a personal passion project and quickly grew into a full-scale production facility in Thunder Bay’s South Core. Every recipe is developed, fermented, cooked, bottled, and packaged in-house with a singular focus: maximum flavour and perfect balance.
We ferment our peppers using traditional methods to develop natural complexity before blending them with a concise list of premium ingredients. We add no water, no thickening agents, and no chemical preservatives—ensuring a clean, vibrant sauce with our signature silky texture.
Heat with Dimension
At the core of Scorpion are Trinidad Scorpion peppers—intensely aromatic, fruit-forward, and unapologetically powerful. Their heat is immediate yet controlled, landing at a confident 6/10 that builds steadily without overwhelming the palate.
What sets this sauce apart is its unexpected depth. Earthy beets lend subtle sweetness and a rich crimson hue. Red bell peppers contribute body and natural brightness. Chipotles in adobo introduce a gentle smokiness and savory complexity that rounds out the sharp edge of the Scorpion’s fire.
