The Torchbearer Story
Torchbearer Sauces began with a spark of curiosity and a lifelong love of bold flavors. Founder Vid Lynch discovered his passion for heat during a high school farewell party in Pennsylvania, where a friend doused his BBQ chicken in a fiery extract sauce. Vid joined in—and a love affair with bold, adventurous sauces was born.
Years later, Vid and his friend Ben—later his business partner—found themselves with a surplus of habanero peppers. On September 21, 2004, they decided to preserve their peppers by blending them with carrots, mandarin oranges, and onions.
